Are small gaps really enough?

Most people believe small gaps are enough for one sided fights, based on the fact that 2x Kaioken Goku
barely dodged a blast Vegeta had made easy to dodge. But, let's not forget, at this point, Kaioken state was
not a simple power up. Goku had stated the slightest mistake could damage him. Didn't his attention to do it
perfectly affect at all his reflexes and ability to dodge stuff?

There's also Vegeta one-shotting Dodoria. Even putting Dodoria at 20,000 only makes a 1.2x gap.

I think Goku decided to not use K2 due to both the gap (It's a similiar gap to Goku vs Cell, so he most likely can't win) plus the strain. Kaioken x3 was a much better way to go since he could demolish Vegeta before he runs out of energy.
