This Vegeta could have taken either SSJ Baby Goten or Gohan one on one here in base form. That being said, I hesitate to put this Rildo >> SSJ Baby Gohan, so Vegeta takes this.

Considering SSJ Vegeta wasn't far enough above SSJ Gohan to counter a 2 on 1 situation with Goten, he needs SSJ to avoid getting stomped by Base Rild alone. SSJ likely beats Hyper Mega Sigma Rild with mid or high-diff.
