Berserk - did Griffith need Femto to beat Zodd

When Griffith appeared to Zodd as a vision, do you think he needed his Femto form to sever his horn and knock him out?

Aside from Rickert bitch-slapping him (amazing), he's essentially untouchable as he is. Ganishka couldn't even stand up in front of him, and all of the arrows the Kushans fired at him had no effect. Zodd's horn being severed was an astral wound given to Zodd in a dream by the "Falcon of Light". So no, Griffith didn't need to be Femto to beat Zodd - the entire scene takes place "between a dream and reality", Griffith is in total control.

I really like that scene though, the Golden Age arc through the Conviction arc is phenomenal.

I'm sure Griffith is stronger than any apostle even in his human form.

Still was kind of weird that Zodd would always defend him when Guts either tried to kill him or threatened to tail him, but I guess he doesn't want Griffith blowing his cover by showing overtly superhuman powers.

Didn't Guts already see Femto in one of the first chapters in the Godhand dimension?

Yeah, but I don't think he's aware that Griffith can just revert to his godhand form at any time.

I assume Zodd defends Griffith out of loyalty. Griffith is the only opponent Zodd couldn't stand up to and that won his allegiance.
