If Guts never left the Band of the Hawk, do you think the plot would eventually work out the same way? Would Griffith still become Femto?

Given how strong the themes of causality/destiny are in Berserk, Griffith sacrificing the Band of the Hawk and becoming Femto was a predestined inevitability. Guts staying would only cause the destined events to play out in a different manner, but with the same outcome of Griffith becoming Femto during the Eclipse.

How do you picture that happening? Griffith still being charged with treason even if things were different?

They could've found out about Griffith killing the queen and sentenced him to the same fate

I believe due to Griffith still being predestined to become Femto, the chain of causality would alter one of two scenarios to lead to the inevitable outcome. Either the Queen's murder is discovered as Kenshi said or the Kushan try to invade Midland, leaving the Hawks at a complete disadvantage and forcing Griffith choose between his survival and the death of the entire Band.
