The rules of this, going by his description, are as follows.
- List of a top 10 focusing on a scene from a series in specific, not just the series as a whole.
- Ranking based on how the voice acting in specific compliments the scene.
- Format: [Voice Actor]'s performance as [Character] - [Scene description/quote] (Series Name, Episode Number*)
*Episode Number is optional, if you actually remember it.
It's easier for me. I can just skim and see the important words.
Yeh, I may have posted it somewhere. There's a lot of good voice acting in that series and quite a few scenes where it's literally just an image and the characters talking.
#1 - Tomiyama Kei as Yang Wen-li - The Magician did not return (Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Episode 82)
- Truly an emotional scene with a performance that allows Yang's character to be on full display, with the combination of both truly elevating the quality of the series into 10/10 territory.
#2 - Tomokazu Sugita as Gintoki - Gintoki in general (Gintama)
- No matter the situation or the drops in quality the series has had, one thing that's stayed consistent is Sugita's ability to deliver a performance that's exactly what the scene requires with a voice that seems tailor made for the character.
#3 - Ryo Horikawa as Reinhard von Lohengramm - The loss of Kircheis (Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Episode 26)
- Horikawa truly shows both Reinhard's elegance and the flaws of Reinhard's psychological state when things go far from what he envisioned.
#4 - Daisuke Namikawa as Hisoka - Hisoka's orgasm excitement at facing Gon (Hunter X Hunter 2011, Episode 36)
- The over the top nature of the scene with Hisoka's perverted attitude, complimented by the great visuals make it the highlight of the fight.
#5 - Kenji Utsumi as Raoh - "Of my life, I have not a single regret!" (Hokuto no Ken, Episode 108)
- Does an excellent job at capturing the final moments of the eternal manly badass, especially with the scream when he raises his fist.
#6 - Marc Diraison as Guts - "GRIIIFIIIIIITH!" (Kenpuu Denki Berserk, Episode 25)
- Just a truly badass roar of a line that fully captures Guts' rage at Griffith doing nothing wrong.
#7 - Takehito Koyasu as DIO - "WRYYYYY!" (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Episode 48)
- This is a line the fanbase were waiting years, even decades to see in anime form, and Koyasu delivered it as well as the rest of his performance as the character.
#8 - Yuriko Yamaguchi as Nico Robin "I Want to Live!" (One Piece, Episode 278)
- An excellent performance for what's often cited as one of the emotional high points of One Piece, along with a good conclusion to Robin's character development in the arc.
#9 - Unshou Ishizuka as Joseph Joestar - All of Joseph's Engrish (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders)
- Every time Joseph goes "OH NO", "OH MY GOD" or "SON OF A BITCH", the gruff, testosterone fuelled voice mixed with the dumb, campy dialogue really capture the action-comedy aspect of Part 3.
#10 - Akira Kamiya as Kenshiro - Kenshiro in general (Hokuto no Ken)
- From iconic one liners such as "Omae wa mou shindeiru" or his "Atatata", the vocal range and consistent quality of Kamiya's performance is something that can't be ignored.
Meng, Ryō Horikawa has some range (if that's the word I'm looking for). His voice sounds much softer in Legend of the Galaxy then it does in DragonBall or Detective-Conan. And it sounds natural to boot. Not like he's artificially trying to make his voice sound softer.
The softer voice is likely closer to his regular voice, considering he's mainly typecast for voicing pretty boy characters (Shun in Saint Seiya, Karasu in YYH, etc.), plus his general speaking voice in interviews is quite light and polite. It's more likely that his Vegeta voice is him trying to force a gruff attitude out, especially from Kai and beyond. His voice for Vegeta from the Saiyan/Namek Arcs of Z sounded far closer to his eloquent Reinhard voice though.

I agree. I thought I was the only one that thought that he tried to make Vegeta's voice sound gruffer in DB-Super. In the original DragonBall Z his voice sounded much more normal and more like an arrogant prince. It's like he's trying to do a little bit of Chris Sabat or something.
Only Akira Kamiya that really stands out for me as Kenshiro throughout the series and also his performances as a rich guy ex: Mitaka from Maison Ikkoku and Mendo from Urusei Yatsura. I've heard that he was supposed to voice Kuno from Ranma who is another rich guy but that didn't happen.
Ryūsei Nakao as Frieza when he was trying to stop Toppo's Hakai huge blast but failed.
Nozawa Masako as Goku Black or when Goku goes serious. Such a sinister voice when she's serious but really hate when she voice Gohan though.
If we're gonna include the English dub then Sean Schemmel transforming into SS3 against Janemba was a tough notch. Chris Sabat as well as Making Vegeta who was going in midlife crisis.
