Honestly I have no idea. Marco mentions something about how his body is different or whatever.

If the explanation turns out to be stupid then the Marineford arc'll lose a few points in my eyes.

The only explanations I can think of right now are that either the Yami Yami no Mi is that OP'd or that he may have a parasitic twin on an area of his body not fully shown, or even two (the latter may explain the three skulls on his Jolly Roger).

I definetley think he has the Cereberus fruit. This theory has been proven on many occasions. For one Marco stated he has an unusual body. But why would that be when he is just your typical fat guy. Moreover back in Orange Town when Nami addressed BB as he Zoro and Luffy cut in and said they. And they were definetley not talking about their crew since the topic was set to BB. For them to say they I think he is almost like three people with the Cereberus fruit.
