BoG arc Ssj2 Vegeta (Pre Rage) vs Ssj3 Gotenks (Buu Saga)

Most likely Vegeta given his statement about still being the 2nd strongest Saiyan would imply him to be superior to Ultimate Gohan. Manga-wise, you could argue him to be inferior due to the lack of statements about he and Goku being the top dogs of the Z-Warriors up until their plot haxes, but I find it needless to place him at a different level.

Yeah, Vegeta's reaction to hearing the news of Goku's defeat tells me Goku > Gohan and Gotenks in the movie. Vegeta also performs better against Beerus than Gohan did, so I'll go with Veggie.

Anime and manga wise, Gotenks is taking this.

I think Gotenks could win in base, if not as a regular Super Saiyan.

I disagree with base Gotenks but SS Gotenks would take it like Six Trails said.

Gotenks would stomp Vegeta. I don't believe Beerus would use the same effort level against all of the Z-Fighters.

There's also still the promotional material that stated indirectly that Gohan was stronger than his dad and Vegeta.

That would only really refer to their Boo Arc selves and not necessarily their BoG selves.

It sounded current, like the Krillin being the strongest earthling bit.

It wouldn't make much sense for it to be current though, since the last time Gohan had Ultimate prior he was still surpassed by an incalculable amount by SSG Galu and MY BULMA Vegeta in the same arc.
