At the time of watching, Goku's sacrifice felt insignificant because you knew he could be revived

Vegeta's sacrifice was one of the best moments in the series, in my opinion, and Majin Vegeta was always a super badass. Goku also has many moments like this, where he comes off as a likable hero. For Vegeta those moments are few and far between.
