I don’t think they can since the bodies have to be similar, so at least similar species are needed. Piccolo did the dance with Goku (And Kuririn in the anime) and they didn’t fuse, though that’s probably because they weren’t trying to.
Opposite genders probably work the same way.
The Wiki says it’s EX Fusion, which is sort of a game-only fusion dance rip off.
