Can Blackbeard absorb sea water?

Say when he's falling into the sea, just suck it up. The launch it at Luffy. Then get killed by a Sanji, Zoro, Jinbei, Chopper, Franky and Perona tag team.

Wouldn’t he just drown twice as fast before he absorbs? That’s kind-of stupid. Maybe not. He says he also takes more damage from punches than normally, like he takes everything.

It goes into a void but yeh it goes through him I guess. Maybe absorbing damage is different if he's hit compared to if he absorbs it with his hands. Like when ASCE hit his body with a flame lance it hurt a lot, but when when ASCII did Entei he met it with a huge ball of darkness, which maybe doesn't cause him pain. Didn't he also block Whitebeard's earthquake attack with his darkness hand, without taking damage? Maybe I'm imagining that. If he did those things, maybe he can absorb seawater with a black hole that doesn't hurt him.
