Cell Junior's Power

What do you think their power was based on? The level that Cell was displaying against Gohan, or Cell's maximum power that he had yet to show?

I'm inclined to believe it was Cell's current power cut in half. Complete conjecture but that makes sense to me.

Cell Junior Senior is full power, however.

I mean imagine if Cell was hiding somewhere like half the time anybody would follow him earlier in that arc. The Cell Jr. he'd create as a distraction would have all the power of Yajirobe's fart

Definitely based on his full power but he can still make them a lot stronger than they appeared if he wanted to.

Assuming his power is based on Piccolo Daimao's ability to spawn offspring, he should be able to make one as strong as himself if he wanted imo

Sure, it costs him his life. He put his entire essence, soul, whatever into it. Just because Piccolo can do one thing, doesn't mean Cell has every single option he does either. Piccolo spit up eggs and beings that hatched from eggs, Cell does not. He shoots them out of his arse, Piccolo out of his mouth. Just like how Cell has psuedo SSJ forms, he doesn't get the same boosts the Saiyans get, he mimics these guys, but he's not exactly like them. I find it doubtful for Cell to be able to create himself again like Piccolo Daimao did.

He never had the opportunity to do it. His body was completely vaporized when he was killed by Gohan, and as his pre-zenkai self Gohan was in close quarters kicking his ass the whole time. If he was sure of death and felt like having his offspring avenge himself, there's nothing really keeping him from creating a true duplicate while no one was looking like Daimao did. Toriyama even theorizes Daimao's tendencies of trying to put the world in terror and treating it like a game showed up because of him having Piccolo's cells.

furthermore, creating 7 Cell Jr.s didn't strain him at all much like Daimao creating Drum didn't strain him in the least. Even if he can't explicitly clone himself like Daimao, it's not unbelievable he could pump way more power into one if he pushed himself imo.

Yea I don't buy it. Just like how I don't buy Cell being able to turn Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2 or Super Saiyan 3. He has psuedo abilities, not everything works exactly the same as who he takes his genetics from. He's some crazy hybrid. It's possible, but in my opinion, I don't agree with it.

Creating a being and recreating yourself, reincarnating yourself, are two completely different things. All females have the ability to create a child, but none have the ability to recreate themselves on this planet to bring things into perspective.

But he copied Namekian regeneration and Saiyan arc Kamehamehas well enough, so it's pretty moot

I agree it's speculation, but with Drum being created without strain and Cell birthing 7 Cell Jr.s without strain I have little trouble believing he could create one much stronger if he wanted to.

Also I think it's worth noting Cell wasn't even at full-power when making them.

I don't think those are factors. I think the fact that PD was so old, it was hard on him, whereas younger him could do it much more easily. Hell, it doesn't appear like PD lost any power making Drum or else it would have been noted.

So I think Cell and PD cannot make anything stronger than Drum/Cell Jr.
