HAO can be found on http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Dragon-Ball from chapters 1 to 135.
Viz can be found on http://mangalife.us/manga/Dragon-Ball
HAO has at two translators. Molokidan did chapters 1 to 102. An anonymous person did 103 to 136. However, kissmanga does not have HAO's 136. Instead they have some other group which I might compare with Viz and Herms eventually.
I'll be using Herms as the base of course.
Round 1
Chapter: 35, P7.1-2
Yamcha: “H-he’s a tough one! He’s got fearsome physical strength! But even more fearsome is his ultra bad smell. It’s said he’s never bathed in his life…! His extreme stench makes people hold their nose without even thinking about it. This prevents his opponents from using their arms, leaving them vulnerable to his attacks…!”

Viz is overhyping Bacterian in the first bubble. Viz has Yamcha say "one of the toughest" rather than just "tough". Viz also completely makes up "his strength is a legend among martial artists". HAO has Yamcha say "he's trouble" and "That guy has horrifying strength" which is definitely closer to Herms than Viz is.
On the second bubble, they all say pretty much the same thing. However, HAO is less readable. On the third, HAO says "the instant someone smells that stench". The timing of instant is not in Herms or Viz. On the fourth bubble, HAO says "attacks by" which implies his stench's ability to cause his opponents to grab their nose is his attack rather than him attacking after that. That one is pretty nitpicky though.
Conclusion: I am giving to HAO because Viz did horrible in the first bubble.
I'll post more later. What lines should I compare?
