Broly is seems a kind of guy that would try to tank everything towards him but then again he have a force shield.

I'm pretty sure the spit tactic would work, since Broly's only smart enough to put up a Ki shield if it's a YUGE Ki blast. If by some miracle he does choose to dodge the spit, he wrecks. He ought to be comparable to MSSJ Goku (Boo), whereas even Pre-Majin SSJ Vegeta wouldn't take long to dispose of Dabura in his own words.

I have Gohan as an SSJ2 against Dabura. SSJ Gohan gets roflstomped, but Dabura's just as strong and more skilled than Broly, and he has his stone spit. He takes this.

Broly would probably view Stone Spit as a silly attack not worth defending against, then end up getting tagged by it and turned to stone. I'd still give it to the team if the spit was prohibited.
