Darth Nihilus

SUMMARY: Darth Nihilus was a Sith Lord, who fought and died during the era of the Jedi Civil war. Not much is known about his life prior to his journey to the dark side. Having survived the cataclysmic event which brought an end to the Mandalorian Wars of the Old Republic, he was found barely alive by Darth Treya, who rescued and trained him after having sensed his powerful connection to the force. Nihilus went on to become one of the most prolific Sith Lords of his era, a literal devourer of worlds, until his death at the hands of the Jedi Exile in 3951 B.B.Y.
Nihilus remains unique and special among many legendary Sith Lords. He showed a natural affinity for the force at a young age, when he was among only a handful of souls to live through the effects of the Mass Shadow Generator. Trapped on the devestated planet, due to the mass shadow field as well as the fields of wreckage that crowded it's orbit, Nihilus was set to die. It was only by stumbling onto another survivor, and inadvertently draining him of all life force, that Nihilus was able to survive. He used this ability to avoid death, moving from survivor to survivor, in order to maintain his strength. It worked, but not without a price.
After his first victim, Nihilus found a hunger growing inside of himself. A hunger for the lifeforce of others. And every time he fed, that hunger grew more and more agonizing. When he was finally rescued by Darth Treya, she tought him to grow his ability to devour, to use it on a planetary level, and soon Nihilus was able to eradicate an entire species in one grand swoop.
POWERS AND ABILITIES:
FORCE DRAIN: Nihilus' greatest strength as well as his weakness. His power is fed by the life of others, and as such, he is considered dangerous to all worlds across the star system. Worlds that were rich in life or with a great amount of Force energy would draw him. His reach in the Force extended to where he could sense Force users throughout the galaxy to find planets he would then cleanse entirely, killing everything who was touched by the Force.
Prolonged use of this power made him a threat to all life, as his craving grew more intense with each feeding. Eventually, Nihilus' hunger controlled him, and became bigger than his own self-control. He had no choice but to follow and obey, always feeding, always eating worlds.
FORCE LIGHTNING: Perhaps the most famous dark side ability. The user can channel the force into streams of energy similar to lightning, often propelled from the fingertips. The effect of being hit with this is similar to electric shock, and can cause temporary paralysis or death.

FORCE SCREAM: The user is able to amplify their voice several times over. The effects can range from pain and nausea all the way to physical objects being demolished from the amplified power. It is said that those who served Nihilus would feel immediate suffering upon hearing his voice.

TELEPATHY AND TELEKINESIS: Darth Nihilus was extremely adept with psychic powers. He could sense being from across the galaxy, as well as communicate with them over similar distances. He can read people's thoughts, and project his thoughts onto others.
His most impressive display of telekinesis took place on Malachor V. There, Nihilus was able to pull a wrecked Star Destroyer from out of orbit and bring it to the planet's surface. This became his flagship, and while it should have been in pieces, Nihilus kept the frame and hull together for years using only his own power. This includes deep space flight and battles, as the ship became fully functional under his psychic command.
Force Push, Dark Healing, Levitation, Jedi Mind Trick, Sith Alchemyand Force Sever are also in his arsenal.
EQUIPMENT: Nihilus used a single bladed lightsaber fashioned using a red, synthetic crystal. He favored the one-handed fighting style, using power and strength to out match his opponent. This style was further amplified when he was able to feed from the force, increasing the power behind every stroke.

The Ravager is the ship he pulled from the wreckage field at Malachor V. It functions only by way of his control of the force, and his will keeps the ship together as if it were physically bonded. The Ravager is equipped with a small crew of servents, a fleet of small fighters, and dozens of turbolasers capable of wasting a planetary surface in hours.
