Apply any semblance of power scaling?

Fighting games, I mean. Most of them, including the TB series, let you play as anybody and pretty much heat anybody.

For example, I can play as Krillin and kick the shite out of Gohan Boo.

I understand why obviously. Just wondering if any of them tried to mix it up and apply more realistic power tier.

Xenoverse with the levelling-system kind-of did that, even-though that was only in the story-mode.

It's got to be done though, I think.

I get why, because some characters might be useless. But at least maybe let the player choose different modes to enable power scaling. Or put better abilities for the weaker characters to even it out.

But I don't see why they can't find a way to make it work at this point.

ye diff. modes'd work, i think

i think they are just trying to appeal to those "competitive players" who want everything balanced

but they've been getting games since the beginning of time

now can u plz appeal to actual dragonball fans who want to play like the series

TB did a bit I'd say. Some characters even had less health.
Would rather see them make a well-balanced competitive fighting game for once.

The Budokai series from the third game and following had ki baselines depending on the character (Omega had all 7 while Mr. Satan had only 2 during base).

But then you had 100% Freeza at 4 full-bars, where-as 1st form cell only got 3 & perfect-cell had 4 (like freeza)

& majin vegeta had 5 like super-saiyan 3 goku, the transformation also didn't add much

it is

they tried to keep most ppl who could transform to 3 full-bars only, so that it'd be kind-of balanced

so even if 1st form cell is way higher than 100% freeza, it doesn't matter both 1st forms start-out at 3

Some did to an extent, with some of the top tier characters of Z and GT being some of the best to use, such as SS4 Gogeta, or Mr. Satan and Videl being the worst characters to use in most games (other than via Present Bomb spamming in the BT games with Satan). Budokai 3 also had SS4 Gogeta have the greatest attack damage from base attacks out of all characters, so there's that.
