Goku's only note in regard to his speed was him being so fast for someone of his size, rather than outright saying his speed had increased. Most likely, it just remained the same.

That, and the fact that doing so would just lead to Freeza arriving and oneshotting him. Also, it takes a sizeable amount of his Ki to create a Power Ball if no moon is available.

Viz version say "Didn't think he could go so fast!!!". His speed more or less remain the same.
