It seems worth noting that neither he nor Nappa complained of hunger or thirst after waking up after over 300 days of inactivity, and don't even feel stiff. Were they just in suspended animation like Aang from ATLA?

Yeah I don't see why they wouldn't age in suspended animation.

Maybe they didn't, which explains why he still looks so young. By the way, how do you know they never stopped anywhere during those 300 days?

That's not what the context says. Nappa says he can't wait to wake up because they'll be exterminating the earthlings. He isn't excited to wake up to stop somewhere to eat.
