Did Vegeta Really Cared About His People?

He claimed that it didn't bothered him at all when Dodoria explained the Saiyans genocide but when he was dying later he told Goku to avenge them. So did he truly felt deep down care about his people? Or that he just care about their PRIDE being destroyed and humiliated by Freeza but not his people?

I don't think he did. He just said that to fuel Goku, considering he knew Goku cared about sheeet like that.

I see no reason why Vegeta would be dishonest in his final moments, so I think he did. I definitely think he held a grudge against Freeza for wiping out his people.

I think he moreso cared about his position of power within that society and his immediate family.

I'd say his relationship towards his race was a complex one. He clearly had little love for them as individuals when he killed the Saiyan he was probably closest to personally just for losing a battle, yet he had little reason or ability to lie in his dying breaths. He likely cared about what the Saiyans represented such as a warrior's pride and their strength, but didn't have any attachment to the people on a personal level.

I figured this one as well. I liked how the funimation change the conversation between Goku and Vegeta before they fused into Vegito where Goku told him that they both should start a new Saiyan race something like that.
