Did Yoko really love Joe?

I was re-checking the ending of the story and one thing got me wondering... did Yoko really love Joe, as she said, or was that maybe something said to dissuade Joe from fighting Jose?

There would have been no significance to that moment if she was lying.

As already said, there'd be no reason to go so far in sacrificing her pride if she was lying, plus the gradual change in her attitude towards him throughout the series is quite telling. She most likely started developing feelings for him sometime after Rikiishi's death, with him starting to show the same traits that drew her to Rikiishi around that time (eg. his tenacity in weight loss).
