Do 2nd/3rd Grade SSJ slow you down?

Do 2nd and 3rd grade SSJ (the forms Vegeta and Trunks used against Cell) actually slow you down, or do they just not increase your speed beyond a normal SSJ?

SSG2 doesn't slow you down, otherwise Trunks wouldn't have transformed before he chased after Cell. SSG3 likely slows you down, though. Can't say by how much.

I think both forrms increase your speed, but not proportionally to the power increase.

Only SSG3 does but both gives you a huge strain on their body.

Gr 3 decreases speed as stated by Goku, Gr 2 increases it. Even without any statements, if Gr 3 actually increased speed, even by a little, then it'd actually be a useful form, which it's not.

I don't know if we can accurately tell if Grade III slowed Trunks down as compared to Grade II or not. Cell was already much faster than Vegeta, so even if Trunks' speed increased by a small amount with Grade III, it wouldn't have mattered.

ASSJ Vegeta couldn't even see Cell's movements, whereas USSJ Trunks could at least see him dodge. That's why i think
USSJ is a small increase in speed as well.

Which still makes some sense if speed increases a tiny bit or stays the same while power explodes up. Speed is effectively dead then since it's so disproportionate.

But it would still be an advantage as Kyo said. You are still faster, even if not proportionate.

Why wouldn't you pick the one with 1.75 speed?

Because if you're using Grade III, you're probably facing someone that requires that amount of power, which is useless when you can't hit them with it.

If SSJG2 also increased speed by this much, I don't see how they'd still see the normal SSJ as the best one, even if the strain is small. Vegeta could have used the SSJG2 and wrecked the Cell Junior.

Only Third Grade. Second Grade was stated to have increased Vegeta's speed while Third Grade was stated to have decreased Trunks's.
