Do Androids/Cyborgs have Ki?

Gohan stated that they don't have any Ki.

Context: after the androids blow up Yajirobe’s car
Goku: “Wh-what’s going on…?! I-I couldn’t sense any ki at all…â€￾
Gohan: “It-it’s because they’re androids…Th-they don’t have any ki…!â€￾

Yet both #17 and #18 are seen giving their Ki to Goku's Genki-Dama against Pure Boo.

In GT, which is part of the anime (100% canon), Trunks recognizes 17 by his Ki.

I think Gohan said that because he assumed their "robotic" nature would mean they lack detectable Chi. The components Gero used on #17 and #18 were organic, so I assume it suppressed their natural Chi.

Probably not much more than the average human. As for the robotic ones like #19, #16 and #20's body (sans the brain), no I don't think they do.

Their organic makeup should hold life-force, which is Genki. So, really, Genki and Ki are different (even though it takes Genki to make Ki), or Gohan's presumption just wasn't accurate. But, based off what the twins showed for the Genki-dama, they can at least provide what we'd call life-force energy.

The sources of life-energy and Ki may be considered a sub topic, which still has its absolute relevancy.
