Do they even need the Dragonballs anymore?

I know it's the name of the show and all. But they have an Earth set that grants several wishes, and the Namek set which can grant three.

These dragons have rules, yet the rules of one dragon are often counteracted by the rules of the other.

And they have a God who can turn back time.

I'm just saying maybe it's overkill. So, what's to be done about this? Can they afford to do away with one set? Or Both? How does one solve this problem without pointing to the fact that maybe it was an oversight in the firstplace?

Would it hurt the show to do away with the Dragonballs for some time?

The dragonballs started the series till the end. GT made it perfectly that DB are the final villain in the DB WORLD {at least non canon}.

Who knows maybe something will come around regarding the dragonballs. But right now we need them because of fakkatsu no f which still hasn't happened in super.

From what we know of DB Super spoilers, Universe 6 apparently has the "Super Dragon Balls", which could prove to be very important to the plot. The DBs could still hold relevance, just perhaps not as much as in part 1.

Man, I didn't know about that stuff.

I feel like that might make things worse, as they now have three sets of Dragonballs. Lol, and you know Goku makes friends with all his enemies, so the guys from Universe 6 are going to be like, sure, no problem, come on over and use them any time you want.
