Do you think AT originally planned for Goku to be the one to defeat Androids in Trunkses timeline?

Trunks said, 'If I don't find a weakness in them, I'll take Goku to my timeline to defeat them.'

Do you think that was a tease? Did AT intend to continue with such a plot before he decided to add Cell/ROSAT into the mixture?

No. Trunks never brought this up during his initial meeting with Goku, so it's doubtful this was part of his plan at the start. When he made the statement, it was also immediately followed by him refuting the idea due to the major changes of the present timeline. Regardless of what route Toriyama went with the plot after that, it'd cause the future Artificial Humans to become an easy victory after having overcome more powerful versions of them just as what happened in canon and, at that point, it makes far more sense from a narrative standpoint to have Trunks use the experiences he's gathered to save his timeline by his own abilities rather than have Goku swoop in to fix the problem.
