With the new Yugioh movie coming out next year, I'm seeing discussion amongst fans that this could possibly or hopefully lead into another series following Yugi again but this time without Yami Yugi. While I'm currently liking Arc-V a lot I wouldn't mind seeing another series following Yugi seeing his own adventures and accomplisments without Yami Yugi holding his hand. I wouldn't mind it but I think they should let Arc-V finish up first. A Yugioh series generally goes on for 3-4 years each making at the very least 150 episodes or a little or above that.

Duel Monsters - 2000 - 2004 with 224 Episodes
Yugioh GX: 2004 - 2008 with 180 Episodes
Yugioh 5Ds: 2008 - 2011 with 154 Episodes
Yugioh Zexal: 2011 - 2014 with 146 Episodes
Yugioh Arc-V: 2014 - Present so far at 85.

Arc-V should wrap up maybe late next year or early 2017 that would leave plenty of room to maybe map out the series before attempting to make one instead of making it up as they go. I feel like while this series has run it's course going on for 15 years (barring Season 0) it would be best to let Arc-V finish up without being rushed and end this whole series the way it started. Arc-V recently brought the franchise to oh mighty episode 777 a few months ago so I feel like they may try to make that stretch to 1000 when this series is over. Let 1000 being the final episode of this franchise ending with Yugi the way it started.

I wouldn't mind another season with an older Yugi that doesn't have Atem around all the time. It's just...what would they do with it? He kind of ran through all the villains he could the first time around. I wouldn't mind following Yugi around the professional leagues, but even that can only be done for so long before it gets repetitive.

They'll definitely make another one considering their track record. But I'm indifferent to its existence either way. Preferably I wouldn't want one around though. It's been milked enough.

I'm sure myself they'll make another but I truly do feel that this series after Arc-V SHOULD be the last one. Once you make 1000 episodes end it right there. Let it end with Yugi the way it started. Although I do agree with Pyro, what more could be done with Yugi? Yes he's the OG Protagonist that no matter how old this series gets it's ALWAYS good to see him again. I don't want to complain about villains because villains just seem to come out of nowhere in these Yugioh series so that shouldn't be a problem. Yugi's best match was Yami Bakura but now he's gone for good, I wouldn't mind seeing another tournament because that's pretty much mandatory in every Yugioh series that you have to have AT LEAST one tournament or some kind of competition.

Another thing is are they going to go back to the original playing style? Starting with GX each series has focused more prominently on a different summoning method and once you get to 5Ds onwards decks are much faster in bringing out ace cards so are they just going to go old school for a series following Yugi? We'll have to wait until the movie to see. But if they do make one more series after Arc-V than it should be the last regardless. It's like Pokémon it's gone on way too long. For every different Pokémon region Yugioh fans get another summoning method that brings a series along with it. Not to mention fans are getting annoyed with this trend and most of them tend to agree that the original still reigns supreme over the others. It's the same formula over and over again.

- Random guy who's abnormally good at a card game
- He's unknown but makes a name for himself whether it's beating a well known duelist or something else
- Forms a Posse of new friends and old friends
- That posse ALWAYS includes a rival who either becomes friends or stays on respectable terms with the main protagonist

- That posse ALWAYS includes 1 girl who eventually falls in love with him but he's to oblivious to notice and see's her as a friend (although the last few minutes of 5Ds kind of made Yusei indifferent to that)

- They end of saving the world from a villain who wants to destroy, change, or take control of it in some way.

I'm sure if the new movie does well enough, they'll saddle another series from it.

Whether the new movie does well or not (and it will, with all of the complaints from older fans who hated everything from 5Ds onwards) they'll flock to see a movie starring Yugi and Kaiba again. But I was talking to another guy on YouTube about this and I kind of agree that while it would be nice a new series following Yugi probably wouldn't be a good idea. You'd have to put a new summoning method in there and that'd just mess up the canon of Duel Monsters to 5Ds and what not.

They wouldn't have to, but it is Konami, so they probably would. They could easily have the new series implement a prototype for Synchro Summoning (like some are theorizing this movie will do), and expand on that concept.

They probably would but then again with Arc-V they made it clear that it is it's own thing separate from the other series with multiple dimensions based around the Extra Deck. I've seen some people theorize that each Yugioh series took place in one of the alternate dimensions

Duel Monsters & Arc-V = Standard Dimension
GX = Fusion Dimension
5Ds = Synchro Dimension
Zexal = XYZ Dimension

But I don't think that's the case. BBT confirmed Duel Monsters, GX, & 5Ds all took place in the same universe, Zexal probably took place in the same universe as the first 3 if you see statues of the Dark Magician and Blue Eyes White Dragon. But the Crow, Jack, and version of Neo Domino City you see in Arc-V are noticeably different from their 5Ds counterparts.

If they do make a series following Arc-V that doesn't revolve around Yugi I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a female protagonist. Strong female characters let alone female duelist with some skills are a rare find in this series, so it's be a nice change of pace. The only ones who fit that bill were Akiza who a considerable amount of fans agree to be the best main female character in the franchise with skills comparable or a notch or 2 beneath Yusei's or good enough to replace Crow for the 1st round of the W.R.P.G. and the other being Yuzu who's giving her some stiff competition and actually beat the main character. Although now Yuya is definitely above her she could still compete with him.
