Does Majin Buu gain the power of the people he turns into candy? There's no mention of it but I can't quite tell.

I think Dai Kaioshin's personality would've influenced his creation of the ability, but wouldn't be one he outright inherited.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that one.

I guess any form of Boo can choose to absorb their food victim or just eat them. Like with Fat Boo vs Dabura, Boo just wanted to eat so he chooses to just eat him instead of absorbing him.

Dare I say it, just for the hell of saying it, but didn't Baby absorb Majuub when he reversed the candy beam and gain from it. He seemed to power up after.

When Baby ate Majuub, it was just a normal consumption. Majuub was even attacking Baby from the inside much later.

I don't think the separation would effect Boo's techniques that much when Dai Kaioshin was just the possible incentive for it, since he seemed to still have some traces of influence and memory from Fat Boo anyway (eg. being halted when trying to attack Satan).

Wasn't that because Mr Buu was still inside him, though? He had no reluctance trying to attack Satan again after he spat him.

No he doesn't. As for Grey Boo and Good Boo situation, I guess its exclusive to Boos only or that Grey Boo can absorb Good Boo inside his body.
