Well, he just heard him that's all.

I doubt Kaioshin would've referenced Freeza unless he knew Goku and co. had disposed of him.

Because Vegeta thought Saiyajins can destroy the planets too and perhaps, the reason why Kaioshin brought Freeza up was because Freeza destroyed the Saiyajin race and still nothing compared to the Kaioshins who were klled by Boo.

Either way, he probably knew it.
