Doflamingo's eyes

I was challneged by CC to do an OP topic. Since I couldn't think of anything so productive and vs topics are kind of a cliché in shonen mangas, I'd like to talk about Doffy's eyes. Do you think there's something to keep Oda from revealing them? I know they just appeared in a single panel in a close up manner, to which we couldn't get a true glimpse on it.

Oda was asked in a SBS by a fan to reveal Doffy's eyes... in response he trolled the fan, pretending to take Doffy's sunglases only for him to appear with them again in the next page of the SBS. In the manga, we know Doflaming got his sunglass broken by the end of the fight against Luffy, yet he was shown wearing it again when he was shown at Impel Down... he either has some extra sunglasses at his pocket, or Oda is just making a case in not revealing hjs eyes for whatever reason. I also remember that in an introduction page asked by a fan, in which Doffy would lend his glasses to a Flamingo bird, he was shown with the hand on his face, covering his eyes...

... so is there some feasible explanation for Oda to keep from revealing his eyes? Maybe he has cross-eyed, or asthetically not pleasing ones? Iirc both Sanji and Luffy also attacked Doffy, at first, on his left side, to which Doffy had strange reactions towards both attacks, kinda not reacting to it in an usual way... I have seen people speculating his left eye is blind due to it. Dunno.

I doubt it will be anything too plot relevant and more so something personal to Doflamingo. The theory on him being either blind or impaired in his left eye is probably the most likely. It may have also been heavily mutilated by those who attacked the family after their fall from nobility.

Yeah, if I remember correctly the close-up panel of Doflamingo's eyes was shown right after he was hit by the arrow thrown by a random citizen, which seems to strengthen the theory that he is impaired in one of his eyes. But it begs the question, why would Oda troll people who wished to know about his eyes then, if it isn't plot dependant?

Oda's well known for providing troll answers to SBS questions even for obviously unimportant matters, such as saying Whitebeard's moustache can be detached and used as a boomerang. It's probably more just to feed the fans' curiosity rather than avoid spoiling future plot threads.
