Something I just stumbled on, though I've been aware of for a while.
During the mid/late 00s as well as in 2016 for the anime's 30th anniversary, various mangaka created drawings related to Dragon Ball as a tribute to the franchise. Here are all the ones I could find.
Eiichiro Oda (One Piece)
Tetsuo Hara (Hokuto no Ken, Souten no Ken, Hana no Keiji)
Hirohiko Araki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk, Real, Vagabond)
Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto)
Tite Kubo (Bleach)
Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro (Toriko)
Nobuhiro Watsuki (Rurouni Kenshin)
Takeshi Obata (Death Note, Bakuman)
Nakaba Suzuki (Kongo Bancho, Nanatsu no Taizai)
Hideaki Sorachi (Gintama)
Kazuki Takahashi (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
Yusuke Murata (Eyeshield 21, One Punch Man)
Masanori Morita (Rokudenashi Blues, Rookies)
Shun Saeki (Shokugeki no Souma)
Kouta Hirano (Hellsing)
Masakatsu Katsura (Zetman)
Kentaro Yabuki (Black Cat, To Love-Ru)
Norihiro Yagi (Claymore)
Ken'ichi Sakura (Dragon Drive)
Haruchi Furudate (Haikyu!)
Koushi Rikudo (Excel Saga)
Naoshi Komi (Nisekoi)
Yoshio Sawai (Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo)
Hiroyuki Asada (Letter Bee)
Arina Tanemura (Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Full Moon o Sagashite)
Kenjirou Takeshita (Happy World)
Ryou Azuki (Love Wan)
Shin'ya Suzuki (Mr. Fullswing)
Yasuhiro Kanou (Pretty Face)
Mikio Itou (Nazo no Murasame-kun)
Kohei Horikoshi (Boku no Hero Academia)
Toyotaro (Dragon Ball Super)
Thoughts? Got a favourite one?
It should be pretty obvious my favourite one is Hara's. Gokenshiro will solo all with Ultra Musou Tensei Instinct.
Kind've disappointed Araki and Inoue didn't put their top tier skills to full work, especially when Araki put in enough time to draw a JoJofied Kenshiro and Inoue drew a realistic Luffy for similar events. Kubo also did a very good job at making Taopaipai look like a badass in both pics, though his Ichigofied Trunks looks ass.
Also, Saeki's #18... Expected this much from the guy who draws Shokugeki no Souma.
