So, I have recently run into a video in which a YouTuber -- Wisecrack -- talked about Dragon Ball's philosophy. I found it interesting, despite him making use of some erroneous dub lines, like Goku's ridiculous speech to Freeza in SSJ, which was complely changed in the shitty US dub.

What did you think about it? Interesting?

Wisecrack do some good videos on occassion, though this one was a pretty pretentious one of trying to find a well of depth where there is none, plus a lot of their arguments hinging on dub lines as you mentioned.

Why would you think there was none, though? At least as far the hunt for the Dragon Balls goes, all his arguments for it seemed well founded.

I wouldn't say there's absolutely none, but I feel that the arguments he presented seem to be grasping at more than what's there based on the content, as it's clear Toriyama's intent wasn't some profound take on Buddhist philosophy.
