Are you sure? Gohan turned out to be stronger than both Gammas individually and he is not much ahead of his TOP self. The same Gohan that couldn't even touch Dyspo even with Frieza being his allie and who disregarded their attacks as "slow".

Not sure how Gohan compares to his ToP self exactly. Unless the Gammas were overrated Gohan must be considerably stronger than before. This is years after the ToP, and SSJB Goku and Vegeta left Gohan in the dust before the ToP was over.

There's a reason as to why only Orange Piccolo was said to have a battle power on par with Goku, though.
