Really depends which forms we're talking about. If it's both of them in their base forms, then Etemon oneshots due to being Large Star level compared to Devimon's Country level power, as well as far faster. If it's both at their peak, Devimon stomps MetalEtemon as NeoMyotismon as whilst both have comparable power, Devimon at his peak has Infinite speed due to existing in a realm beyond the laws of time.

Oh, I see. I haven't seen the first series in a long time so I can't remember much. Etemon came after Devimon though that's about all I can say for now. And how was Devimon defeated again? By Champion level Digimons?

Meng, if you watched Digimon you could really shed some lights on the power-tiers in the series.

I think, IIRC, Angemon defeated Piedmon and Angewomon defeated another Digimon reminiscent of Devimon, but for the life of me I can't remember how Devimon got defeated (probably because I haven't looked that moment up in a long time).

Oh, so that was Devimon getting defeated that I saw somewhat recently. I think I also saw the Piedmon one.

I do have a good memory but I dont hyperanalyze feats, esp since Digimon is made by :toei and has paradoxical power chains like MagnaAngemon ~ Blackwargreymon ~ Imperialdramon FM >> Skullsatamon > MagnaAngemon 2

I agree, but IIRC all the Digimon series (or at-least the first 4, all I saw) had one writer (or head-writer only I don't know).

So how do you think Devimon stacks-up to Etemon all things considered?

Base Devimon gets oneshotted imo, giant Devimon might win unless Etemon's anti digivolution attack also depowers Devimon's giant form

Also aren't there type-advantages as-well in Digimon? Never knew about it until I saw people talking about the games. So for example Angemon just naturally can easily over-power an evil/dark-type (or something like that) Digimon because he's an angel or something. Was this even considered in the TV-Series, besides the Angel Digimons?

Supposedly virus types are powerful against data types who are strong against Vaccine types and so on but I dont think that was ever even taken into consideration

Yeah, doesn't seem like it. None of it was even ever mentioned in the series. Seems to be a game-only thing.

I can't remember but besides Lucemon from Digimon Frontier, were there ever any Digimons that were above their actual level? Like a Champion Level Digimon being Mega-Level or something?

How do the DM Adventure Villains compare with each-other? Not too long ago I saw a fight in Digimon and it was weird, they got stomped initially and then they found a weak-point or whatever and with the same attack just against their weak-point they one-shotted said Digimon that was stomping them before.

Closest thing possible is Digimon Tri being retarded enough to show Gabumon scaring off a MetalSeadramon and thats it iirc

From what I've heard DM Adventure Tri is a huge disappointment, with some good moments inbetween. They should have kept the same writers and same character designer (whole team basically) , it doesn't have the same feel as the first series.

In Episode 14, when Gennai tells them to go the Server-Continent to defeat the enemy Digimon there, Yamato says that there's no chance they can defeat an enemy even stronger than Devimon, to which Gennai replies that they can if they evolve their Digimon further, so I guess that settles it. At-least for their highest levels, Geared Devimon and Etemon with that weird ball. I'd also assume base Etemon can defeat Devimon since they were running away from Etemon and Tai tried to get Agumon to digivolve further.
