Yeah, I think Gen 5 is definitely best music wise.

 

[Classic Adamas]

I like all Pokémon music, but sun and moon really stand out to me.

Pokémon always hits the nail on the head when it comes to music, so it'd be pretty hard to pick which generation had the best music. I think Gen 1 is still a strong contender for best music as a whole generations (Wish I could say the same for the games themselves though). My favorite songs I'd say

Diantha's Theme (2nd best champion theme behind the above mentioned)
Laverre City
Lumiose City
Route 113 (Hoenn Original Version)
Lilycove Musuem (Original Version)
Malie City
Aether Paradise

I don't have time to find specific stuff right now, but basically a lot of stuff from Gen 2 and 3 was good to me.

Been digging the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum OST recently. The fight music against Cynthia is so damn good.
