Which antagonist did you enjoy the most? I put Bakura and Zorc together since (IIRC) they were the same being, more or less, and in the end were working together anyway.

Probably Pegasus. The camp demeanour he was given in the 4kids dub to go along with his aristocratic atmosphere was quite appealing, even if 4kids as a whole was very bad. Even if moving dubbed material (and YGOTAS) aside, his deck and the threat he provided to the cast were quite good.

If including Kaiba as a main villain due to his role in the early volumes of the manga though, he'd easily get my vote.

TAS-wise, Melvin probably takes my vote. But that isn't infallible, depending on how LK handles the last arc (doubtful he's all that interested now though).

Eh... tough call.

Pegasus - Outside of stripping Mr. Muto, & the Kaiba brothers of their souls (not to mention killing Bandit Keith I believe in the manga but even then I guess that was justifiable). But other than that he wasn't a bad guy. He seemed likeable, hilarious at times with his manchild like aristocratic attitude, and his whole motivation for doing what he did was so he could bring back his dead lover. In the end he wasn't bad, just wanted his lost love back and you sympathize with him for it (or at least I did).

Marik - Now you have 2 separate Marik's to talk about and both were DRASTICALLY different.

Normal Marik
He wanted the power of the Pharoh and wasn't above dealing with his underlings in a bad manner. However he seemed to still be lenient with his family. He may have verbally scolded Odion but never seemed like he would do anything to him, and Ishizu was the same. He may have threatened her but I don't think he would've actually hurt her. He only seemed evil being forced into a lifestyle he never wanted. He wanted to be apart of the outside world but that wasn't possible with his family.

Yami Marik - This guy was a MONSTER. He was a sadist brutally murdered his own father, threatened to kill Joey, and Ishizu, tried multiple times to kill Odion. He was a sadist who got off on psychologically and physically torturing others and enjoyed every single second of it. Normal Marik wasn't that bad for villain standards, but Yami Marik was one sick bastard in every sense of the word.

Dartz - Eh. He didn't really stand out. He was in the background for a majority of the Waking The Dragons arc. He did a whole slew of terrible things: Stripping people of their souls for millions of years, killed 2 of his henchmen's family, and was more than willing to toss them aside if it furthered his goal. He didn't come off as good of a villain as Yami Marik to me. Not mention he's the biggest cheater with the most OP deck in the entire series.

Bakura/Zork - I was under the impression that they were the same being.... But I can't say much about this one. I haven't seen this portion of the series in quite sometime. I liked the Dawn of the Duel Arc. but out of every arc I enjoyed from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series that I enjoyed, I enjoyed this one the least. Although I will say for some reason he was my favorite. I just always enjoyed seeing Yami Bakura whenever he was on screen.

Actually, Manga Pegasus had no way of reviving his wife, he only wanted Kaiba technology to produce
holograms of her. So, we have...
Manga Pegasus: Killed Keith and chased holograms of a dead person; that guy had really lost it.
Anime Pegasus: Him wanting to revive Cecilia was a more reasonable purpose, plus he didn't really kill anyone
(debatable whether soul stripping is considered murder).

I did like Marik the most. That entire arc was well done, and Marik was a legitimate threat. I hate watching his English dub scene though because he never shuts the fuck up, and his laugh gets annoying as hell.

Dafuq? Yeah that guys completely lost it.

I don't think Soul Stripping counts as a murder although in the 4kids Dub it was certainly treated like it. No Heaven or Hell just the dreaded "SHADOW REALM"!!!!

Soul stripping is murder. You can't live without a soul, your body literally becomes lifeless you're dead.

As for the question, I find Pegasus to be the most entertaining villain. A hammy, affable gentlemen who also happens to be a tragic vengeful man torn up about the departure of his significant other to the extent that he's willing to cheat in his own cards games, kill old men and children, and take Kaiba corps supplies to help him revive and reunite with her.
