That's true that it has greater Speed, but Raikou does have access to boosting in Calm Mind and can even run items like Choice Specs to get higher damage output than Manectric or Assault Vest to be a better pivot.

I guess my post is kind of pointless since the point of this thread was just to ask for opinions and not to tell you why your fav isn't as good as something else. I'm sorry. I'm just so bored right now.

Not sure on damage calcs, but would an EQ not KO Raikou just as easily as Manec? Less defense but more HP, and Calm Mind won't do shit for defense.

Yeah both die to Earthquake though Manectric can take one from defensive variants of Lando-T and Garchomp (assuming Intimidate is activated against them).

So do you still think Raikou is superior? I see benefits to both, and intimidate is tough to turn down.

I guess it depends on the team I'm using. My problem when using Manectric is that I always seem to be in a position where I can't safely mega evolve because I won't outspeed on the first turn (since you don't get the speed increase when mega evolving until the next turn).

It's also worth adding that Manectric does have Lightning Rod to switch into Electric attacks and get a free +1 in SpA.

I don't know. Manectric may be better, though I still hate it and will continue to be biased against it just because you use it.
