These characters can be anywhere from Canon to Non Canon world so pick one and explain why. 
I'll start first and I vote for...
Future Trunks
The reason why: Most of you can probably tell why. Future Trunks grew up where the world is at war which is unfair for him since he probably didn't deserved that kid of life. With the war that was been going on most of the people were killed by the Androids along with his father and probably his grandparents as well and with no Piccolo the DBs are dead as well. Only Gohan and Bulma were left for him and Gohan too died at the hands of Androids which is really depressing considering that Gohan is like a father figure to him and he just died.
The thing that makes it sad for me about it is just when he travel to the past, he probably expected his father to be a great guy and only Vegeta was jerk towards him and that probably hurts him a lot too. Good thing that Vegeta managed to change throughout that arc and tried his best to avenge Trunks's death even though it didn't make any difference except cost Kid Gohan's arm but to Trunks to hear about what happened when Yamcha told him that sure made a lot of difference for him. He finally have a good world after he defeated the Androids and helped to rebuild their world seems like a good payoff for him until Black came along and destroyed everything he did and also killed his mom too. Black is also the cause why his universe is irredeemable and now he has to (along with Mai) to live in different into an identical timeline to his own but still it won't be the same.
Such a tragic character.
