All of our posts should implicitly acknowledge the Appule Arc's superiority. It's not worthy of being compared to other DBZ arcs (or vice versa).

The only good arcs (besides Appule's, of course) in DBZ were the Saiyan and Freeza arcs. Cell and Boo both kinda stunk; not sure which I would pick between the two, honestly.

The 21st and 22nd TB were a lot of a fun too. I hate the 23rd TB though, and I don't particularly care for KP's arc either. RRA had potential, though.

Saiyan Saga

Eh.... it's a toss up between the Android and Namek Saga both were amazing.

Cell arc

Freeza saga. Most of everything else was just fighting continuously for trivial reasons/winning tournaments without much going in the way of story.

The Lord Spopovich's Revelations Arc, followed by the Manly and Erotic Misadventures of Roshi.

Aside from those, the Freeza Arc. It's triple-faction struggle for the DBs made it more interesting than other battles for the Dragon Balls, plus it was the last fight-driven arc to have passable writing. Saiyan Arc comes close to due to giving supporting characters more of a spotlight than any other arc in the series, Yajirobe saving the day being a prime example.
