Favourite Arcs in Shonen

Pretty sure we've already had a favourite arcs thread a long time ago, but what about for Shonen series in particular? Post a top 10 or however many you wish. If you feel a series has several comparatively good quality arcs, you can just say "X as a whole" if you don't want to bog your list down with too much of the same series.

Mine:

#1 - Ashita no Joe as a whole
#2 - Chimera Ant Arc (Hunter X Hunter)
#3 - Fullmetal Alchemist as a whole (Manga and FMA:B, not the 2003 series)
#4 - L Arc (Death Note)
#5 - Yorknew Arc (Hunter X Hunter)
#6 - Last Nanto General Arc (Hokuto no Ken)
#7 - Rei Arc (Hokuto no Ken)
#8 - Kyoto Arc (Rurouni Kenshin)
#9 - Baroque Works Arc (Rurouni Kenshin)

Not as arcs, but you can include the entire part as a whole if you believe the quality remains consistent throughout and that it's story can't be fully viewed through just one arc.

Well, that still only fills up 6 slots (SBR and JoJolion don't count as they're Seinen), so you could still make a top 10 or something. Surprised you'd imply you'd rank all the Parts above Chimera Ant though.

I never meant that, misunderstanding. What i meant is that every JoJo part is technically a "contender" under those conditions, also, agreed part 3 and 1 are garbage. Anyway, here's what my ranking would be:

1. Chimera Ant Arc.

2. Part 6 of JoJo.

3. Yorknew.

4. L Arc.

5. Greed Island.

6. Part 4.

7. Part 5.

8. Succession War Arc.

9. FMA(Needed to put something here)

10. Black Chapter Arc(?)

Nice list, though I'm surprised to see Greed Island so high, considering the amount of plot armouring the cards provided (eg. magically regenerating destroyed limbs) or the lack of resolution it had in Gon not finding Ging or Chrollo not getting his Nen back by the end, plus most of the continuity it provided within the Chimera Ant Arc such as Bisky's reappearance or Gon and Killua finding Kite could've easily been rewritten without changing much if you were to remove Greed Island from the plot entirely.

Yeah, agreed, but with the regeneration card, that at the very least was foreshadowed. Greed Island while probably being one of the best Shonen Arcs in existence was still kind of a mess, but I had a lot of fun watching it.
