As this manga is the only one I've read that fits in with CC's challenge, which fight within the manga/anime did you enjoy the most? I need a bit of time to review them to think of my own.

The Shishio fight got me the most excited when I first read the manga for sure, although in retrospect it was bullshit that Kenshin got some asspull resolve hax to allow him to fight at a much higher level than before after he regained consciousness.

To be fair, you could account it to being just pure adrenaline, moreso than most other Shonen resolve boosts anyway.

Anyway, I'd probably go with the Shishio fight as well due to it requiring the involvement of all the major characters and it not being concluded by the protagonist landing the final blow on the big bad setting it apart from 90% of the climactic battles in Shonen story arcs. Kenshin VS Cho and Sannosuke VS Anji also come close due to the former being akin to a challenge of Kenshin's ideals, whereas the latter had a lot more of a personal impact for the characters than most other fights, with the only other ones coming close in that regard being Kenshin's battles with Jinne and Enishi.

Watsuki actually used to be pretty good at choreographing and panning out fights. What the heck happened to this man? Everything busou renkin and onwards had completely awful fights, couldn't even finish Embalming when I tried.

The part I find best about the fights is that despite there being some heavily text filled areas, it doesn't feel like a bother to read like HxH does. The actual fights are generally speaking well done too.

What I like most is that there isn't that gay-ass shonen trope of every newly introduced enemy blowing old ones out of the water forcing them to constantly train. It was a good choice story-wise that Kenshin no longer got those haxed gainz after obtaining his ougi, so we didn't have to put up with those garbage training chapters from Greed Island or anything.

Yeah, Kenshin was probably the Battle Shonen series that combated power creep the best, or at least up there with Parts 4-6 of JoJo and FMA.

the one where the guy gets split in half
it represents the duality of humanity. Very deep

I don't remember all the fights that well but Kenshin vs Sojiro was pretty cool, right?

If anything that was one of the more boring fights, Kenshin couldn't hit him until he decided to use the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki because Sojiro kept increasing his speed until he eventually went insane and became possible for Kenshin to track lol.
