I'm a fan of the Timer Ball, Quick Ball and Premier Ball. Mainly for aesthetics, but the Timer Ball has a good catch rate in a long battle (4x in a battle over ten turns I believe)

Quick Ball is unarguably the best with it having a good chance of catching the Pokemon on the first turn without putting much effort into it. I've probably used the Quick Ball to catch Pokemon more than any other type of ball. Timer Ball is another good one for Legendaries, though RNG is often against me whenever I try it compared to simpler methods such as the Dusk Ball, which is definitely up there amongst the best too.

I also find the Apricorn balls such as the Heavy Ball to be very underrated, with it being a shame they were absent outside the Johto games until Sun/Moon and weren't repeatable outside the former until Gen 8 of all things.

Definitely the Dusk Ball. That thing is magical for me.

Reminds me of the time I ran out of Dusk Balls against Mewtwo in SoulSilver. I threw a regular Pokéball for the hell of it and caught it. :et

For me it makes no difference against Legendaries. They can be at 1hp and paralyzed and still impossible to catch :et

Me and my favourite pokeball, 3 seconds before catching legendary pokemon MissingNo and breaking the game:

I can safely post that image now that withheld, CoH and GetonIRCXD are gone.

I caught a top legendary with a pokeball once too. I don't usually really use anything apart from Great Balls and maybe Super Balls. I save my Master Ball in honour of the one Master Ball I lost as a kid because I took "it can catch any pokemon" too literally and tried to use it on another trainer's pokemon lmao. FBI called me up for trying to kidnap Bug Catcher Benny.

Unrelated, but I find it really funny that in Gen 2 games the apricorn balls are programmed incorrectly and don't actually improve the catch rate on Pokemon they're designed for.

Aesthetically, some of my favorites are:
- Timer balls
- Dive balls
- Luxury balls

In game, I think ultra, timer, quick, and dusk are some of the most practical to always have on hand.

I deliberately brought 99 Pokeballs to catch Groudon with on Ruby because it was red. Caught it. Same thing with a Latias and one of the Regis. :et

Anyways, I always liked the design of the Luxury Ball, Ultra Ball and Quick Ball.

My favorite in the games would be either the Dusk Ball, Quick Ball or the Timer Ball, for obvious reasons.
