Talking generations (can specify your favourite from each gen if you want) and thoughts on Gen 7 starters.

Me:

1st place: Gen 1 (Bulbasaur being my favourite)
- I really like all of these Pokemon. Simplistic but kewl.

2nd place: Gen 3 (Treeko being my favourite)
- Same as Gen 1, I like every design from start to finish, and they're all really Kewl. Grass wins again for me.

3rd place: Gen 2 (Cyndaquil being my favourite)
- Kewl, but I also think these are the most appealing starters to both males and females, and that's gr9.

4th place: Gen 5 (Snivy being my favourite)
- I don't like that water fack all that much, but the rest look kewl.

5th place: Gen 4 (Chimchar being my favourite)
- Not a bad gen for starters, but definitely not my favourite.

6th place: Gen 6 (Froakie being my favourite)
- All these Pokemon look kewl in their first stage, but I think only the Froakie line looks kewl once evolved.

7th place: Gen 7 (Have no favourite)
- They aren't necessarily bad designs, they just ain't good and look lame as starters. If I had to choose, probably going back to my grass roots (pun intended :elmo ) but I dislike them all.

First form only, I assume?

1. Gen 3 - Torchic
2. Gen 2 - Cyndaquil
3. Gen 1 - Charmander
4. Gen 4 - Piplup
5. Gen 6 - Fennekin
6. Gen 5 - Oshawott
7. Gen 7 - Litten

If we were taking into account final forms, then the order would probably be changed around a bit.

Mudkip > Bulbasaur > Totodile > Squirtle > Chikorita > Cyndaquil > Torchic > Charmander > Treecko

all the pokemon from the pokemon games after gen 3 are pretty god damn shitty imo :V

Probably Gen 1. Honestly I've never really been a guy who enjoys the starters. I liked both Bulbasaur and Charmander in Gen 1, so thats 66%, vs 33% in all of the other gens.

Gen I: Bulbasaur > Blastoise > Charizard (Overrated)
Gen II: Chikorita > Cyndaquil > Totodile (Just my least favorite)
Gen III: Treecko > Mudkip > Torchic (That battle with Charizard pissed me off so much as kid, I haven't subconsciously got over it)
Gen IV: Turtwig > Piplup > Chimchar
Gen V: Oshawott > Snivy > Tepig
Gen VI: Froakie > Chespin > Fennekin
Gen VII: It's too soon to tell. Their evolutions haven't been revealed so I can't take those into account. But I will say with the way these guys look compared to other starters we're REALLY starting to get ridiculous now. Why can't we have a Dragon-Type starter?

Venusaur is one bamf, especially in Red and Blue where Razor leaf is always a critical and the special stat.
