Summons
Quezacotl:
Super electrical charged superblast held in place by electrical barrier? It is worth note he comes in from lightning.
Ifrit:
Is able to smash a meteor that's much larger than himself down at a speed so fast that it starts to burn up like a space shuttle re-entering the atmosphere, suggesting he instantly hit it to such speeds. Such strength is phenomenal.
Shiva:
Her ice is so cold that it instantly freezes her surroundings, while one might say this is because of game mechanics, one does have to take into consideration when fighting Ifrit in this environment you see here that he s***s himself when you use Shiva in here, suggesting that her Ice is at the very least competitive with his flame. Or cold enough to extinguish it. Which when taking into account Dissidia's description of his flame being hot enough to ash the Earth, is cold as hell.
Siren:
Auditory damage? It is interesting to note that Siren does change the environment to what you see in the gif, if I knew anywhere with longer gifs it would be able to be seen. They were at a beach before, Siren changes it to a rocky shore.
Brothers:
This is some MASSIVE strength, through the initial lifting a large chunk of the ground from the... ground, to the rock paper scissors to decide who busts their noggin through it, to the actual noggin busting through the ground part. That large chunk of ground is thrown into the air long enough to do a game of rock, paper, scissors.
Diablos:
The only real notable thing here is how Diablos throws it, the ball of dark energy warps, suggesting it's going at a pretty absurd speed. As well as the enemy looking like it's getting crushed by it. It's worth note however that the attack is gravity based and is likely having the effects it has due to the immense gravity it likely uses.
Carbuncle:
Nothing of real note here, Carbuncle seems to have some reality warping prowess with the ground, but the cute little thing's only a support role, casts reflect on the entire party which reflects projectiles back at the ones that threw 'em.
Leviathan:
Not much to mention here, a lot of water from a very high point meant to simulate a sort of Tsunami effect. With the long animation time you'd think it'd be more spectacular but... meh.
Pandemona:
He'll get you some tornadoes for your tornadoes when you tornado your tornado. Tornado.
Cerberus:
Unfortunately not much of note here either aside from trans-dimensional travel of their support role. Their counter rockets do nothing more than cast double and triple on your party, which allows you to cast two or three magics consecutively before your turn ends. Which sucks given the battle against him as him do much more.
Alexander:
Holy nuclear explosion anybody? No seriously, it's more or less a holy element nuclear explosion.
Doomtrain:
While it looks like all this does is you getting hit with a flesh train going full speed, it's not just that. The hit (if you survive) auto-casts you with Poison, which makes you take damage every time you attempt to hit somebody with magic or physical attack. Sleep, which temporarily knocks you out cold, Darkness, which blinds you until you deal with it either with medication of some sort or a magic spell get awayer, Silence which shuts down your ability to use magic, Slow which slows your spot in the time-stream down, making your movements extremely slow. Stop, which freezes you entirely in your spot in the time stream. Berzerk, which while increasing physical damage, turns you into a mindless animal that only attacks physically, Confuse, which makes you attack yourself or your teammates, Doom, which puts a 20 or so second timer above your head, during which you either have to kill the caster or cast a spell that gets rid of the effect otherwise the personification of death comes from the underworld and slashes you with his scythe, insta-killing you. And finally Vit 0, which makes your body essentially soft as butter, it takes away your physical defense more or less. Leaving you super vulnerable.
Bahamut:
Non-elemental (more or less pure magic) magic bomb that ends with a super big boom, not much else to say. He's considered one of the strongest of the Guardian Forces and in typical depictions is around the strength of Alexander, so there's some scaling there I suppose.
Cactuar:
Truly one of the most fiercesome Guardian Forces ever, he says f*** you to the damage cap of 9999 and goes +1 up on its a***.
Tonberry:
The english version of the game has the onomatopoeia being *DOINK*. He DOINKS ya with non-elemental magic damage. Beware...
Eden:
0_0
It is interesting to note that the attack does 60,000 damage when the damage cap in FF8 is 9999. But all of that reality warping and turning the planet into a cannon to shoot into a spiral galaxy and light it up lol.
There are non-junctionable Guardian Forces that are done either through items or they just decide when they want to show up, but I'm doing this for the ones you have control over. The next part will be the characters themselves and their feats.
