Captain Cadaver said:I'd recommend neither and advise to save for better games but if I had to choose, I'd say it depends whether or not you want to invest much time in it or not. FighterZ has far more solid fighting mechanics and doesn't have as much RNG when it comes to unlocking necessary things, though it immediately loses steam after completing its repetitive story mode unless you're skilled enough at contemporary fighting games to find much joy in the online (especially when the servers can be inconsistent). Xenoverse 2, whilst far worse in terms of mechanics, at least offers far more content without relying on DLC.
It has an "original" fanfiction-tier story, so if you're in it for the story, there's no point. Xenoverse is basically a fanfic too, but at least it isn't haphazardly inserting itself into the continuity of in-series events in a manner similar to most DBZ movies.ahill1 said:How are the phases of the game FighterZ? Does it follow the original story or is it based around hypothetical scenarios?
To be fair, FighterZ is doing the exact same thing when it comes to leaving so many characters as DLC. Hell, I'd say Xenoverse's case is more understandable when most of the DLC missions and characters are from current events of the Super anime and it had a big enough base roster. Bar Jiren, SSB Gogeta and DBS Broly, there's no reason any of FighterZ's DLC characters couldn't have just been in the base game.Fantastische Hure said:Personally I thought XV2 was better. I'm liking it less and less though because of all the unnecessary DLC which I think are still being released almost 3 years after it came-out instead of just releasing XV3 already (which is probably never going to happen now).
True, but you'd think by now XV could have also just waited it out until XV3. FighterZ definitely seems worse though. Just greedy af. Complete Cash-grab. I'm not affected either way though. Since I have never bought DLC for FighterZ. :elmo :elmo :elmoCaptain Cadaver said:To be fair, FighterZ is doing the exact same thing when it comes to leaving so many characters as DLC.
