From the cast that was either forgottten or killed off, who do you think held the most potential?

For reasons I stated in the thread about henchmen, Raditz and Dabura, the latter in particular with how much wider the DB Universe's potential for exploration became with the introduction of the Demon Realm being a canon thing, and the wasted potential in how exploring it has been relegated to video games.

Definitely Nappa. He would have obtained SSJ3 in no time at all at the rate he was going.

Raditz seemed pretty good at fighting and obviously his relationship with Goku and change of character would be interesting for the story. That said, Vegeta played a similar role to what Raditz probably would have been (coming to respect Goku, live more as an earthling and develop compassion).

Maybe Launch and Tien could have had a child who could transform by sneezing, thereby having two skillets (maybe one that's more of a support role and one that's a warrior, although that starts getting into JRPG territory. One could be noble and controlled, the other could be crazy but more powerful) or he could just use it as a disguise and sneak around.

Gonna ignore my typo

Another one to include would be Pu-erh. He has better transformation abilities than Oolong and could've been used to divert and fool enemies, yet his role is over and done with after he cut off Oozaru Galu's tail little more than 20 chapters into the manga.

I think Goku never met Oolong and Puar after the 23rd Budokai. Crazy!

What would you say about #16? Tbh I'd like to see him as a Z warrior.

Now that you mention it, #16 is one of the characters that would've drastically improved the series had he been expanded on more. His kind nature of not wanting to fight unless necessary would've made Gohan's SS2 transformation have even more impact if there was a bond between he and Gohan due to their similarities. If the information of #16's background had also been revealed in the series, it would also tie into one of the Cell Arc's running themes of father-son dynamics.
