I don't see why it'd be different in the future, so #17 is still higher just like in the normal time-line, in my opinion.

It's a matter of preference imo. They can be equals for sure. Either way works. It seems that they start at the same power and that Gero suppresses their power to better control them.
17 is suppressed down and 18 is suppressed down further. It's quite possible in the Future timeline Gero had to suppress them even more.

Seems really, really weird for 18's brother to never be around the family gatherings don't it? Realistically, 17 should absolutely be apart of the Z Team. His sister and his friggen niece are there ain't they? So yea. Man, I can picture Vegeta talking all sorts of shit to 17 during Thanksgiving dinner haha.

Well this is the same author who forgets about Launch and makes Tien become a creepy mountain lover for no reason other than he's a lazy fuck.
