Gap between Drum and Tenshinhan

Daimao thought Drum would one-shot or at least handily defeat Galu, so probably the same gap between Tenshinhan and 40% Old Daimao.

Around 1.33x~1.4x to me.

I'm recently rolling with the idea that the gap between Tambourine and Drum reflects the gap between old and young Piccolo Daimao, which I think is a good baseline.

How is Tenshinhan even able to land a hit at that level though? Tambourine managed less against Goku at an arguably smaller gap.

I think Drum was kinda caught off guard by Ten's recovery speed. The hit does nothing to him and he proceeds to appear behind Tenshinhan and render him immobile with a blow.
