Gap between SSJ Gotenks pre and SSJ3 Goku

I think Gotenks only surpassed Goku after ROSAT as SSjin.

I don't think it needs to be too large. Piccolo seemed to have caught on as to why Goku didn't destroy Boo in SS3, so there's no reason in his mind that SSJ Gotenks would have to be >> SS3 Goku to get the job done. Piccolo also wanted to test SSJ Gotenks' speed before the fight, which wouldn't be necessary if he were significantly above SS3 Goku and Gotenks certainly isn't some Grade 3 tier bulky powerlifter.

All we're given about how the two compare is Goku's uncontradicted estimation that SSJ Gotenks > SS3 Goku. I'd say the gap between them is probably minimal, with myself personally going with Gotenks having less than a 4% lead.

I think it's quite sizeable. Goku did acknowledge Fat Boo is better than he looks in their fight, so I guess Gotenks needs some good advantage to cover up to how inexperienced he is. If Goku is a 100, I'd give Gotenks a 120-125 while Boo is a 90 or so.

Piccolo is sure on his ki level being enough to defeat Boo. He figures Goku could do it as well, but he still had to ask.. With Gotenks he seems confident, however he wants to solidify his thoughts by viewing his speed. Given how arrogant of a tool Gotenks is, and how inexperienced the kids are in combat, I think having a sizeable gap like 1.2x SSJ3 Goku makes sense.

Super Boo was also a dumbfuck when it comes on fighting and even fell into Gotenks's tricks. I don't think I've seen the two fought each other through their fists and kicks iirc.

What's your point Tapion? At the point when Piccolo asked to see his movement, he hadn't seen Gotenks in combat. Regardless, it's pretty arguable that Gotenks has an advantage over Evil Boo. In Z a slight advantage covers a gap in skill.

25-30% gap is enough for Gotenks to solidify his place above Fat Boo and have a good enough lead over Goku.

Gotenks left him self wide open multiple-times through-out the fight, something even Piccolo pointed-out. Gotenks just had a really good lead on Boo.

Yet both Gotenks and Gohan were fine with Gotenks fighting Boo, before he got absorbed. Gotenks shrugged off a huge mouth-blast from Super-Boo and then did the same to Boo and messed him up really bad.
