Anyway, Goku and Elder Kaioshin agreed that Gokhan can handle Bootenks but they can't just fuse right away that's why Potara was introduce.

Needs SSJ3. I have Gokhan = to Gogeta in all forms.

Seeing as how Gohan would have to lower his power to match Goku's the fusion would end up equal to a Gogeta. Buutenks takes this with ease. Ultimate Gohan would be stronger than this fusion imo.

Context: Goku asks if he should become a Super Saiyan before merging with the Potara, and Elder Kaioshin advices against it
Elder Kaioshin: “If you’re going to become a Super Saiyan, it’s better to do it after merging. But anyway, even without doing that, you’ll probably be plee~~eenty. The Potara’s power is just that amazing!”

Goku asked if he 'Gokhan' should become a Super Saiyan against Bootenks. Does it imply SSJ Gokhan would already be plenty? But at that time Goku already knew Potara > Fusion, yeah.

Goku was definitely planning to fuse as SSj because he thought the potara is like fusion where the fusees need to be equal in order to perform. Also greater doesn't mean much anyway like Vegeta being greater than Kid Gohan, but Elder Kaioshin corrected him that Potara would be too plenty for Bootenks.
