You can try thinking of it like the Kienzan. If Kuririn was intimidated by a Triceratops, then I doubt Goku is so far away from Kuririn that he can take a T-rex.

She was looking directly at the T-rex and was able to turn around to kill it. It definitely wasn't adrenaline... she was simply faster than the T-rex.

Not to mention she threw the blade with her own strength and that was enough to kill the T-rex, so if Chi-Chi can kill a T-rex at that point then BoDB Goku certainly can.

Krillin probably couldn't though...

But... The T-Rex that is chasing Gohan misses Gohan and completely levels this huge mountain. Goku's biggest feat was moving a boulder, a T-Rex can destroy that boulder easily.

T-Rex is too strong, it's going to take Tao Pai Pai to handle this beast imo.

Also, you're grossly overestimating the strength of a T-rex. They can't destroy those boulders easily and they can killed with regular handguns while BoDB Goku can't.
