Freeza started with a PL of 530.000, transformed into 1.000.000+, did two more power ups,
two more transformations and one more power up (or speed up). Goku, whose last recorded
PL was 90.000, returns and fights him evenly.

In some ways, though not entirely. 1 V 1 is a lot different from a team VS 1 and Nappa was given far more significance than that fodder henchman.
Also, the choreography is a lot different in those two fights compared to the Nappa and Ginyus fights, especially with the way Galu beat both Nappa and Butta.

In some ways, though not entirely. 1 V 1 is a lot different from a team VS 1 and Nappa was given far more significance than that fodder henchman.
Also, the choreography is a lot different in those two fights compared to the Nappa and Ginyus fights, especially with the way Galu beat both Nappa and Butta.

Drum's also closer to the Nappa example in some ways (e.g. directly leading to the battle with the final boss). Goku's spaceship training and the narrator foreshadowing his having overcome Saiyan limits also made for a far less cheap powerup than taking Choshinsui steroids.
