Guts from Berserk. Which version of Zoro would take to beat Guts from Berserk? Could Zoro from the very first arc defeat him? Make a general comparison about their strength in different times of the story, please.

Alabasta Zoro >>> Berserker Guts ~ Whiskey Peak Zoro >>> East Blue Zoro >> Post-Golden Age Guts >> Golden Age Guts

What? Is Golden Age like a flashback?

I feel like Berserker Guts should be way stronger than Whiskey Peak Zoro. Zoro still got caught off guard by fireworks some times and had to bother running from them or something, and those people didn't seem as experienced as the soldiers Guts was facing, they were basically ordinary citizens who used to gang up and defeat weak ass pirates. Guts didn't seem to worry one bit with they shoting arrows at him, effortlessly blocking them with his sword and slicing them in half like a knife going through butter.

Hatchan moving the undersea reef was calced as a MCB level feat, who Whiskey Peak Zoro is far stronger than, whereas it's debatable if Berserker Guts is even that high. Whilst the calc gets little recognition, I'd say it makes sense via scaling, seeing as how Alabasta Arc Luffy is Small Town level and didn't have too many opportunities to place him dozens of times stronger than his East Blue self.

It's shown in the fight against Ado that Guts could easily cut through iron, cutting Ado's brother iron ball and armor easily. That'd put [age 18] Guts at least at [post Mr. 1] fight Zoro, making Berserker Guts considerably stronger than that. So no way Alabasta Zoro being >>> Berserker Guts makes sense, imo.

Not really. Zoro was already shown to take Building busting attacks pretty easily and his Alabasta self should be Small Town level via scaling from Luffy, of which are far harder to destroy or cut through than iron. Either OP World iron is far more durable than in the real world, or Oda fucked up considerably with that.

Like when?

Anywho, taking such attacks and surviving involves things like durability (and as you agreeded, Zoro has special durability going above his own power level). Heck, the One Piece's characters in general have a special durability compared to other series', as seen when even ordinary persons could take out Enel's El Thor and survive without any sequels. If anything, is the durability factor that One Piece has blown out of proportion here, not other things like ability to cut through iron, which seems consistent as far as comparing it to others series goes. Therefore, Guts cutting through iron is a far fairer feat to use than arguing One Piece's characters durability, imo.

- Got smacked into a building that crumbled pretty quickly by Mr. 1 and came out without too much damage.
- Took hits from Hatchan, how showed MCB level feats.

Regardless of how much higher than their attack power OP character durability is, the fact still remains that they have such high durability, not to mention Zoro is already presented to be far above such a level via scaling from Hatchan's MCB level feat and Alabasta Luffy being shown to be Small Town level.
